What's Changed

  • Re-enabled Fertile Egg collection on Egg Collector
    • Then disabled again due to the addition of Dino Depot
    • This mod will be removed on MARCH 15, 2024
      • Please be sure to move any eggs you wish to save from these inventories prior to this mod's removal.
  • The following Creatures have had their Shiny enabled
    • Giga
    • Carchar
    • Acrocanthosaurus
  • New Mods Added:
  • Re-Enabled Leeds
  • Dino Depot was added to replace our Cryopods
    • Will Auto-Capture newborn babies
      • Will imprint up to 25% while in Dinoballs
      • Will grow/mature up to 10% while in Dinoballs
    • Will allow creatures to perform their natural Passive Generation while inside Terminals
      • This includes Snails, Beetles, Basilo/Tuso, Ovis, etc;
    • Pelayori's Cryo Storage will be removed on MARCH 22, 2024

Behind the Scenes

  • We ran a survey asking about rates, settings, mods and more:
    • While we were disappointed by the amount of (or lack thereof) feedback we got we're making some adjustments moving forward.
    • We appreciate the feedback we did get and will be using the information we gathered to set in stone our rates and modifications related to this going forward.
  • Vote Rewards were nerfed from 5 to 3 Tokens
  • Dino Level Clamp: 499
    • This means creatures at 500+ will be destroyed
  • Several Resource Stack sizes were adjusted
  • Creating and Joining Alliances was fixed!




Introducing: Iron Nexus 2.0

It feels like it's been a long hard road to finally settle upon our Identity since the release of ARK: Survival Ascended, but we've finally set our rates and goals in stone and are eager to see our Cluster grow and progress as we move forward!

We took a Survey of our players last month and reviewed the data and information we were provided by those of you who took the time to give us very valuable feedback!

What's New

  • Gigantoraptor was Officially Released for use on The Island as a mod.
    • We decided to go ahead and launch this along with our Iron Nexus 2.0 Update
      • Even if we thought it would just be a base-game update:
        • Regarding Gigantoraptor being a mod: It allows us more time and flexibility when working with a cross platform environment and ensures we can be quicker to respond to issues should they arise. We'll eventually be merging the Gigantoraptor back to the base/core game in a future update.

Behind the scenes

  • More Stack size evaluations and adjustments, with more possible to come
  • Brought back Leeds
  • Taming was boosted to x2 up from x1
  • Mindwipe no longer has a cooldown

    • Replaced our old Cryopods for a system with a bunch more features and options
    • Tweaked Terminal Crafting Recipe
  3. Cliffan Backpacks
    • Will reduce the weight of Resources in the player's inventory.
      • Craft higher Tier backpacks to reduce the weight even further
  4. Randi's Animal Traps
    • Pre-made traps of varying types and sizes that can be used instead of manually building and creating traps
  5. Return the Beacons
    • Puts beacons back on corpses and loot bags
  6. Super Structures
    • Replaced QoL+ item transfer system
    • Will eventually replace QoL+ altogether at a later time

  9. Shiny!
    • Enraged got a level boost to x2 up from x1.5
      • Minimum Enraged Level is 300
    • Loot tables have been adjusted
      • Now includes saddles!
        • These include but are not limited to saddles for our new creatures.
      • Includes treats from Breeder Terminal!

    • Recipes have been tweaked due to the Taming Rate change
